Burgundy Wine Regions
We are passionate about Burgundy wines! The owner of Château de Chailly promotes Burgundy wines worldwide. As an example, he has put in place 60 Burgundy wine barrels in the park at the Meiji-Jingu Shrine in Tokyo, Japan, and now 60 Burgundy vineyards generously consecrate a few precious bottles of their wine every year to the Meiji-Jingu Shrine to promote the spirit of world peace and friendship.
Hôtel Golf Château de Chailly is ideally located to explore the famous Burgundy wine areas where you can visit vineyards and taste their wines. We are located within an hour drive to the most famous wine areas including Côte-de-Nuits, Côte-de-Beaune and Chablis. You can either explore these wine areas through a guided wine tour operator or self-drive tour.
There are nearly 2 000 winemakers in Burgundy and they are relatively small with an average of less than 10 hectares of vines. For a self-drive tour, we recommend visitors to drive on the “Route des Grand Crus” when exploring Côte-de-Nuits and Côte-de-Beaune and stop at vineyards that have signs outside their entrance with “Caves Ouvert” and “Dégustation” for a vineyard visit, tasting and buying wines.
