Every Thursday before Easter, we host an annual Egg Festival where over 200 children from local school come to the castle for the afternoon and paint many eggs of all sizes. These eggs are then placed around the castle, village and school throughout the Easter holidays.
The owner of the castle, started this tradition in 1988.
In 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the event took place a little differently where we place white eggs around the castle to show solidarity, hope and unity.
